Fear spread throughout all social media channels as various sources said that Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the CEO of AMAA, had passed away.

The African Movie Academy Awards creator and Nigerian filmmaker Peace Anyiam-Osigwe passed away on Tuesday in Lagos, according to a number of reports.
Through his Instagram account, her coworker Obi Emelonye announced her passing and expressed his nostalgia.
He posted a picture of her and stated:
“Thank you and good night dada Peace. 🕯🕯🕯🕯”
